Local community organization has goal of raising $50,000 to support foster families in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, NC - This summer kids and families all around Charlotte are flexing their entrepreneur skills and creating lemonade stands to raise awareness and funds for Foster Village Charlotte and its goal of helping to bridge the gap between those experiencing foster care and those who want to help. This is the third annual lemonade fundraiser - Growing the Village is Sweet. In 2022, over 100 lemonade stands were organized across Charlotte, raising over $35,000 from 800+ individuals!
This year, several local small businesses are deepening the impact with a “twist” by creating a lemon-inspired product with proceeds benefiting Foster Village Charlotte. During the month of July, an interactive map will allow people to find a participating business or stand or donate a virtual lemonade to help exceed last year’s goal to raise $50,000.

About Foster Village Charlotte
Foster Village Charlotte creates connections with dignity for children and families experiencing foster care by meeting urgent needs, providing educational and emotional support , and advocating as a collective community voice for children. Founded in 2018 by four foster parents, FVC began as a grassroots effort to allow foster parents to connect with and support each other, and then quickly multiplied into a movement as we began to encounter more and more foster parents experiencing similar challenges.
